František Novotný has been performing as a soloist since graduating from university (so far he has performed more than two and a half thousand solo concerts accompanied by orchestras, piano recitals and solo violin recitals).
1987-1995 soloist of the Brno Philharmonic (more than one hundred subscription concerts in FB symphony and chamber cycles, special FB concerts and on FB tours in European countries).

at his concerts he also presents sonata works for violin and piano (e.g. performing complete sonatas by Bach, Beethoven, Brahms …)
he also intensively presents lesser-known works by our authors as well as authors from around the world (in Czech and world premieres, he has presented, for example, compositions by the following authors: Jan Novák, L. Bernstein, M. Rózsa, E.W. Korngold, E. Bloch, V. Arzoumanov, S.Barber, A. Copland, A. Berg, O. Messiaen, I. Lachner, L. Kupkovič, N. Paganini – 3rd Violin Concert, W.A. Mozart –Double Concerto for Violin and Piano, A.S. Arenský –Violin Concerto, S.I. Tanějev –Concert Suite).
he studies, and in world premieres records completely new violin works by contemporary Czech and foreign composers (e.g. Miloš Štědroň, Jiří Gemrot, Jungi Tatsuno, Anthony G. Holland, Jett Hitt, Robert Vinson, Hilary Tann, Barbara Harbach).
