Repertoire

František Novotný has an unusually wide repertoire of all stylistic periods of classical violin literature, which he extends every year with new titles.

So far, he has performed more than seven dozen violin concertos and virtuoso works for violin and orchestra in his concertos and recordings.

His extraordinary technique, which he puts fully into the service of the musical message, allows him to present the most demanding violin opuses.

Together with his artistic partners, he also presents sonata literature, including more than one hundred sonatas for violin and piano (or harpsichord).

An integral part of his repertoire includes, of course, a number of extensive and smaller brilliant compositions for violin with piano accompaniment.

His projects for solo violin form a completely individual personal statement.

He is also engaged in chamber works for two, three and four violins.
